Set the shooting mode to  by pressing the mode dial lock release and turn the mode dial to desired setting. Press shutter-release button once to raise mirror, and again to take photograph. Mirror will be lowered after shutter is released. Choose this mode to minimize camera shake or in situations where minimal camera shake can result in blurred images. Note that the shutter will be released automatically if shutter-release button is not pressed for 30s after mirror up, and that autofocus, metering and framing can not be confirmed in the viewfinder while the mirror is raised. |
